Surfing as a philosophy of Freedom and Aloha born out of real, actual, day-to-day interaction with the Wild Earth - Drew Campion

The purpose of this site is to spread the spirit of aloha throughout the surfing community.  We will feature art and photography, music, films, and people that embody the spirit of aloha in surfing.

We will be focusing on companies and organizations whose mission is to promote aloha throughout the world [for example; the Surfrider Foundation (http://www.surfrider.org), Patagonia (http://www.patagonia.com), the Groundswell Society (ttp://www.groundswellsociety.org/)]

We will also feature links to forecasting pages.  Surf forecasting is one of the most exciting and interesting aspects of surfing.  It is important as surfers to be able to understand HOW the ocean works, not just "It's waist to shoulder high today with a swell out of the NW and offshore winds."  Get in touch with where the swell's coming from, what created it, and how is it going to affect your local break.

We would also like to rebuild the surfing community.  In the forties and fifties there were only a handful of surfers at select spots.  They had there own tribe, their own community.  With the use of the internet we are able to recreate that community.  We can talk about upcoming events, amazing surf trips, our best sessions, or plan a bonfire at the beach.

It is time for us surfers to bring back the aloha in our daily lives and help spread it around the world.
